Don't Believe The Truth

Day 1 

Landed in Sydney this morning after a tiring flight, where I didn’t manage to get much sleep. It was alright though, at least I got there safely. The uni was only a short drive from the airport so I got settled in at my new place pretty quick. It’s not a bad apartment - the cupboards, desks and shelves are already installed so it’s quite convenient. Plus, my roommates are all really nice :) although I haven’t had a chance to really talk to them. 

As I was unpacking, I found all the wonderful gifts I got last night and I felt so happy to know that I have people in Singapore who love and care about me. My favourite gifts are the heartfelt ones, so it was definitely lovely that all the things I got at the airport from my friends were personal stuff like scrapbooks and photos! I swear, I looked like some joke on the plane, half crying and half laughing at the notes and letters HAHA. They were just so adorable and sweet! My friends gave me the best send-off anyone could ever receive, so thank you for that! FYI, all your polaroids are on my desk now :D

To be honest, it feels kind of lonely here because I don’t know many people. Thank God I went for the pre-departure session, because if I didn’t I wouldn’t have met Lynette, who kindly invited me to her place today and offered to take me shopping tomorrow. She’s really the sweetest and I appreciate her help so much. Srsly, she’s the reason why I have Internet right now. 

Speaking of Internet, the network better man-up and start functioning properly because I need the mobile data to work so I can talk to peeps in SG. I MISS EVERYONE ALREADY :’( 

P.S. Hi Alice, I know you’ll read this. Sorry I can’t whatapp you! Just wanted to tell you how much I loved your scrapbook! It really made me laugh :)
